The real magic happens when you return to the Mamas' home for a small surpise prepared by the Mamas before the hands-on cooking lesson. Under their guidance, you’ll learn to prepare up to 10 traditional Zanzibari dishes, including iconic meals like Chapati and Coconut Rice, using a traditional Kijungu (mud pot). Once the dishes are ready, you’ll sit down with the Mamas to enjoy a freshly prepared meal, featuring all the exotic flavors of Zanzibar, along with a delicious Swahili dessert to finish off your meal. It’s not just about food—it’s about sharing a moment of connection, culture, and community with the women who make it all possible.
